Hello! Long time no post; again... lol

Thought I better post though, big things are happening! For those of you who don't know already, Brandon proposed on January 28th! We are really excited and quite frankly, I'm really looking forward to building a life with him. He's my best friend and the more time we spend together, the happier I am that things have finally come together for the two of us!

We'd been planning on getting married the first weekend of August, but, as of yesterday, have changed that date to August 17th. Last week, we had gone to Ashland Springs Hotel and had been told that August 3rd was still free. Unfortunately, in the last WEEK they booked it. lol However, it works out because we'd been talking about waiting and going on our honeymoon a few months later, that way we could save some money and whatnot for it. We're thinking that since we'll be in Salt Lake, we'll go down to Park City for a few days next winter and stay at a really nice place and snowboard all weekend. So we will see! Either way, it will work out. So anyway, the contract should be in the works as I type ... the woman said to leave her a voicemail with the date we wanted and she would write us in and get a contract ready so we could come and pay the deposit, etc. We'll get married August 17th (which is a Friday) and then will probably leave for Salt Lake either Sunday or Monday ... and I will start school on Wednesday! lol Oy! Life moves fast sometimes.

Of course, if I don't get in to Westminster, there is no telling what we will be doing.

However, we thought it would be better to save our honeymoon until after we get settled because moving is going to be pretty expensive, not to mention starting school and settling into our first place together and learning to live with each other all day every day! Man, I'm excited!

So that's that. We have a minister booked, as well as a photographer. A family friend is making our cake. It's all coming together nicely! Oh yeah! And I ordered my wedding dress on Thursday night!! It is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Email me if you want to see a picture of it!

Otherwise, things are going well ... work is great, church is great, life is just GREAT. My heart is light and my mind is clear and I am beyond excited about the direction my life is going. I am so blessed; I can't even comprehend it.

I'm going to back to McMinnville this weekend and I am SUPER happy about that! Will be the first time since graduation, not to mention the first time since the engagement. I can't wait to see everyone again!

Valentine's Day is on Wednesday. We're just having a low key night, but it promises to be perfect in every way. We're going to have a picnic dinner at Lithia Park and then probably cuddle up and watch a movie. Neither of us really like the Valentine's Day schmooze.. lol But romance is romance and well, we're both very good at that!

Anyway, I'm going to get going... have some other things I want to do today. Haven't had a lot of time to relax lately; this wedding planning stuff is tiring! lol Amazingly fun, but definitely tiring.
