But that's just
it; the butterflies never seem to accompany the right people. And all
the guys who are right for you, they never make your stomach go flip-flop.
~ Dawson’s Creek
Joey: I looked at him, and he looked at me, and for that split second it was like we forgave each other for everything. ~ Dawson’s Creek Keep wearing your heart on your sleeve like that and you’ll bleed to death. ~ Dawson’s Creek In case you hadn’t noticed, the present sucks. Excuse me for looking back and thinking ahead, but I’m just trying to make sense of what happened to us. ~ Dawson’s Creek Henry: I’m sorry that you miss the way I looked at you. But I don’t miss the way you never looked at me. ~ Dawson’s Creek Joey: I know what’s going on inside you is huge. And it’s all right if you don’t share it with me. Just promise me you’ll keep trying to share it with someone. ~ Dawson’s Creek Joey: You’ve always walked your own path, Dawson. You’ve just decided to widen it a little. ~ Dawson’s Creek Joey: You know, I’m glad you find my pathetic life
so amusing, Dawson. Andie: You don’t make me nervous. You made me mad. Mad beats nervous. ~ Dawson’s Creek Andie: I don’t think that there is anything wrong
with me wanting my father to be proud of me. Pacey: I know that my behavior lately has been a little bit confusing and I’m sorry for being so cold and so distant, but a lot of stuff has been happening. I mean, I don’t even know really where to start. ~ Dawson’s Creek Andie: It’s okay to be scared, Pacey. The world is a scary, scary place. But I don’t want you to be scared of me. ~ Dawson’s Creek Pacey: Because it changes everything. Don’t you see everything’s always been so predictable for me. But now, my whole life’s course is changing. ~ Dawson’s Creek Pacey: Everyday, we, the students of Capeside, come to a place where you’re in charge. You tell us when to arrive and when to leave and when to move rooms and when to eat. You tell us when we are doing well and when we need to be doing better. And we never, ever question it. Because to question it is to go against the belief that the entire system is built upon. The belief that you guys know what’s right. And I am not afraid to tell you what happened in that classroom was not right. To make a student cry, to embarrass him, to strip him of his dignity in front of his classmates is not right. And while I respect the system, I do not respect men like you! ~ Dawson’s Creek Pacey: Love has a horrible way of messing everything up. ~ Dawson’s Creek Grams: How you can tell if you truly love somebody is if you can sit for hours watching them sleep. ~ Dawson’s Creek I just wanna know … will you love no matter what the circumstances? ~ Dawson’s Creek Joey: It’s funny, I’ve been waiting all night
for this and it happens now … with you. Jen: I’d like to tell today’s youth that, no matter where life takes you, big cities, small towns … you’ll inevitably come across small minds. People who think that they’re better than you are. People who think that material things, or being pretty, or popular, automatically make you a worth while human being. Well, I’d like to tell today’s youth that none of these things matter. Unless you have a strength of character, integrity, and sense of pride. And if you’re lucky enough to have anything of these things, don’t ever sell them, don’t ever sell out. So when you meet a person for the first time, please don’t judge them by their station in life, ‘cause who knows? That person might end up being your best friend. ~ Dawson’s Creek Dawson: All I’ve been thinking about lately is how much I want to take back our first kiss. How much I would pay to just let you climb through that window. I mean, who knows what would have happened? Maybe we’d still be best friends. Maybe you’d even still have a thing for me. I just know that I wouldn’t be hurting like this. But then I think about everything that kiss brought into my life. What it was like to look at you and know not just what you were thinking, but also what you were feeling because I was feeling the same thing. And then it’s worth it. It’s worth all the pain that I’m going through. I want to regret kissing you, Joey, but I can’t. It was the smartest decision I ever made. ~ Dawson’s Creek There’s no limit to how long you can care for someone and no limit on how much. Especially when they’ve been so much a part of your life for so long. ~ Dawson’s Creek Henry: Whatever it was you did before, it makes you who you are now. ~ Dawson’s Creek Hold me like you’re holding me now. Just promise me. ~ Dawson’s Creek Dawson: I just needed to see you. I suddenly felt lost. ~ Dawson’s Creek Joey: I think you lost your true north. The fixed spot in the night sky you guide yourself by. ~ Dawson’s Creek Doug: Every time you look at the stars you’re going
to see her face. You can’t run away from her, Pacey. Dawson: I’ve seen how much she loves him. I’ve seen it on her face. I’ve seen them kiss. I’ve seen them hold hands. And tonight, I saw them fighting – which is something I’ve basically been seeing every day of my life since first grade. ~ Dawson’s Creek Gretchen: Exactly. And you help each other realize that all the things you want to be – you already are. ~ Dawson’s Creek Joey: Look, sometimes we fight our fathers and they respect us. But sometimes we fight … and we lose them forever. You have to decide how you want to live your life. What you can tolerate. What you’re willing to lose. ~ Dawson’s Creek |
